LBP Scale Space Origins for Shape Classification

چکیده

The LBP scale space serves as a shape representation, which thus allows not only for shape classification but also for an (approximate) reconstruction of the original shape. In this paper possible LBP scale space origins within a shape are evaluated. The influence of the LBP scale space center on the reconstruction quality is studied by computing the LBP scale space for every position inside a shape and by comparing the according reconstruction errors. For shape classification, the LBP scale space is further evaluated on the MPEG-7 dataset.
